Tigerlily is a golden sour beer aged in oak barrels with ginger and hibiscus. Fermented with Brettanomyces yeast and Lactobacillus bacteria, this sour beer displays notes of ginger along with floral undertones.
A big component of sour beer is blending. While it typically happens on a larger scale with our barrels and in our blending tanks, the idea for this blend came on a much smaller scale Jay decided to blend Sourtooth Tiger and Cosmic Dust from our taps. The flavor combination was an instant hit, and Tigerlily was born.
